Host Gator specializes in shared, reseller and dedicated hosting.
There are three types of shared hosting plans: hatching, baby, swamp. Reseller hosting plans: aluminum, copper, silver ,gold and diamond, and the dedicated server plans: basic, standard, elite and pro. The shared hosting plans do not differ so much of each other. The only difference is that you with the hatching plan you can host only 1 domain while on the other shared plans unlimited domains. Also you get free dedicated IP and SSL certificate with the swamp plan.
As for the reseller plans as you go for the more expensive plan you get more space and bandwidth. The dedicated plans differ in CPU, disk space and bandwidth.

The best selling plans are baby, aluminum, basic of shared, reseller, dedicated hosting plans respectively.

All hosting plans include PHP, mysql, perl, Ruby on Rails, cPanel, fantastico, 4500 html, css and flash templates, free domain, site, database transfer from another host, 45 days money back guarantee, 24/7 support and more. On shared plans you can even tell them to install custom addon/module on the server and they will try to install it for free.
